"I met a traveller from an antique land" is a minimalist mediterranean fusion music album, composed, performed and produced by Antón Popóv, me.

I was inspired by rich mediterranean music history, from times of Ancient Egypt and Greece to medieval Middle-Eastern and contemporary Andalucian traditions.

Among the instruments that you will hear on this recording are Ancient Egyptian reed flute Ney(played continously from times of earliest Pharaos), Arabian medieval lute Oud, Greek sailor's lute Bouzouki, Spanish Flamenco guitar, Persian and African drums and more.

Songs on the album vary from fun dancing tunes like 'Arcadia' and 'Alamut Black' to dark and mystical pieces like 'Ozymandias' and 'Onyx Halls'.
